Walking away!

Thoughts for the day :

“Walking away from something that no longer serves us is not quitting its evolving.”

Do you think :”If I hold on a little longer, it will get better?”

Do you look for approval from others?

Do you say to yourself I can’t believe this is my life. I can’t believe this is it. How did I get here?”

What would you tell your best friend if they told you your story? Would you say : “get the hell out?, something isn’t right? you deserve better? ” or would you say something else?

It’s easier to think about someone else than ourselves but the answer we would give them is what we really think, even for ourselves.

So ask yourself :

What do you need to walk away from? What in your life is no longer serving you?

Your job? Your relationship? Your friendships? Your home? Your bottle of wine after a long day at work? Your rubbish story that’s keeping you from following your dreams?

What feels like an itchy, ill-fitting wool sweater that you can’t wait to get out of?

Which relationships give you energy and which ones drain you?

oh and yes, it’s ok to realise all this now even if you’ve know deep down that something was wrong, out of place,… It’s not too late and you are not too old!!!

As we approach the end of 2018 and begin thinking about what we want from next year, try asking yourself this……

– What is it really important to achieve next year?

– How is it important to feel next year?

– Is what I am doing the best route to have and feel what I want to?

– What do I love about what I do?

– What do I dislike to the point of unhappiness?

– How can I change the way I’m working so that I feel happier and hit my goals?

Be kind to yourself, give yourself permission to walk away from what is no longer serving you. You are not alone! The person you’re stepping into will welcome you with open arms, and say, “There you are. I’ve been waiting for you!!”

Have a wonderful day!
